Frequently Asked Questions
What is reasonable suspicion in the workplace?

Who should be concerned with reasonable suspicion training?
Supervisors, managers, human resources personnel, and anyone involved in the employee drug and alcohol testing process should have a thorough understanding of reasonable suspicion.
What are the potential consequences of improper reasonable suspicion determinations?
Incorrectly identifying employees for drug testing can lead to legal challenges, employee morale issues, and damage to the company’s reputation. Conversely, failing to identify employees who may be impaired can pose safety and productivity risks.
