4 Hour Supported Scaffold Course Details

Supported scaffold user training and refresher training program provides a basic explanation of supported scaffolds and supported scaffold components. The course will introduce the elements of supported scaffold safety and common supported scaffolds hazards while placing an emphasis on hazard reduction and prevention which includes fall protection, scaffold inspections, hazard recognition, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. This course is a specialized elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card. Cost of completion card is included in price indicated below.

Additional Details
Local Law 52 of 2005 requires that all workers using supported scaffolds on construction sites in New York City receive this training and get their 4-hour scaffold card. Individuals must re-take this training course every 4 years.
As of June 1st, 2019 Supervisors will need a total of 62 hours of training which must include among other courses the 4 Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher Class.

CEU REQUIREMENTS
- 100% attendance for the 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher Course: 4 hours of total instruction time
- Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
- Active participation in all class exercises(determinined by instructor)
- Completion of required quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score (70%) on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
- Make up time is not allowed. Students who miss time from any individual session must reschedule and attend the full training course.
PREREQUISITE: This Course Package is appropiate for individuals who meet the qualifications of a Worker under Local Law 196.
