Course Overview

This package offers three NYC Department of Buildings-Approved SST courses including 6 hours of prescribed (required) training that can be applied towards the requirements of a Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST) Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS- LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

 This package includes SST training courses that are required to obtain a Supervisor SST card but do not have any course equivalents.

SST Safety Courses Are As Follow:

2 Hour Tool Box Talks (SST-304)

NYC DOB Requirement

Local Law 196 of 2017 requires certain workers and supervisors to receive safety training at construction sites that are required to designate a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager. By September 1, 2020, workers will need a total of 40 hours of training to qualify for a Site Safety Training (SST) card. Supervisors must have a total of 62 hours of training by December 1, 2019, and to have obtained the Supervisor SST card

Course Policy

To successfully complete the training, students must:

  • Earn a minimum score of 75% on the final evaluation.
  • Complete 100% of the required course content.
  • Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment
  • Actively participate in all written and practical learning activities.
  • Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
